As a practicing attorney and adjunct law professor in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, LexBar Founder Joshua Jenkins has helped many students pass the Virginia Bar Exam through private tutoring. But when he discovered that the number one problem students faced was learning and applying Virginia-specific law, he knew there was a better way. Starting with only 5 beta-students some years ago, Josh developed an online bar exam course now known as LexBar.
Drawing on his experience and education before becoming a lawyer, combined with his experience passing multiple state bar exams and helping others do the same, Josh developed this course. It uses evidence-based techniques to prepare students to succeed on the Virginia Bar Exam. Combining the best research from the fields of Communication, Education, and Law, resulted in a program designed to help students succeed. Whether you’re a first-time taker or have tried this exam before, there are strategies you can apply to help you pass.
Our team has expanded in recent years to include a few exceptional Virginia Lawyers who provide advice for the exam, and provide substantive and detailed grading on practice essays. But just as the day he founded LexBar, you can always reach Josh by dropping an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Josh also continues to do some private tutoring for the Virginia Bar Exam, but he is only able to accept a small number of students for each exam. For more information on that, see the private tutoring page.
